Central Information Commission

• Right to Information act- 2005
• Passed by the parliament of India on 15^th June 2005
• Came into force: 12 October 2005
• Head Quarters: August Kranti Bhavan
• Sweden was the first country which implemented the Act
• Tamilnadu had passed the Act in 1997 (before it came at centre)
• The members of Central Information and State Information commission consists one chairman and members not more than 10.
